Empowering Change

ABOUT RAMONA

I am Ramona Bracy, a lifelong public servant committed to strengthening our communities, improving government services, and ensuring every resident has access to the support they need. I currently serve as a Strategic Information Systems Project Manager in the Office of the State Treasurer, where I help lead statewide modernization efforts. I am proud to be part of the GoDE Project Team, a transformational initiative designed to make it easier for Delawareans to transact with state government.

Over the course of my career with the State of Delaware, I have served in numerous roles—including Administrative Specialist III, State Accountant, Training Administrator I, and Organizational Change Management Specialist. I am Prosci certified in Organizational Change Management, a Continuous Improvement Practitioner, and have built a reputation for streamlining processes, improving operations, and guiding teams through change with clarity and compassion.

My professional experience spans operations management, human resources, training, office management, accounting, sales management, administrative leadership, communications, and organizational change. No matter the role, my focus has always been the same: help people, strengthen systems, and deliver results.

I come from a proud military family, with both parents serving in the U.S. Army as Military Police. My siblings and nephews have also served in the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. That commitment to service is woven into every part of who I am.

I am also the mother of two daughters who attended the Caesar Rodney School District. My oldest is currently studying to become a veterinarian in Kentucky, and my youngest will graduate this year and head to college to study criminal law. Both were active members of AFJROTC throughout high school, with my youngest serving as Corps Commander this year. They are both lifetime Girl Scouts, following in the same path of service that has shaped our family.

One of the roles I hold most dear is being a caregiver for my 83-year-old mother, who is entering the early stages of Alzheimer's and dementia. Supporting our elders has reinforced my belief that caregivers deserve recognition, resources, and compassion—because the work they do changes lives.

Community service has always been at the heart of my life. For more than 10 years, I served as a Girl Scout leader, leading service projects and cookie booths from Middletown to Rehoboth. I’ve fostered dogs for local animal rescues—including supporting a pregnant mama dog through overnight labor—volunteered at the Milford Food Bank, and participated annually in the Milford Thanksgiving Outreach Initiative to prepare and serve warm meals to neighbors in need.

I’ve also been honored to serve as a Volunteer Prom Date for the Gemstones Special Needs Prom, and to take leadership roles as Vice President of the Caesar Rodney High School AFJROTC Booster Club and President of the CR Cross Country Booster Club. I have most recently completed the Dover Citizens Police Academy.  And when I’m not working or volunteering, you can often find me running my favorite 5Ks, especially the Buffalo Stampede and Run for the Paws.

Everything I do—professionally, personally, and in the community—is rooted in service, integrity, and a belief that government works best when it works for the people. I am committed to bringing that same energy, experience, and heart to this campaign and to the work ahead!
